Eclipse presented to the italian market

With the Eclipse Show Tour, G&G Aviation and the European distributor Aeris Aviation presented to the Italian market the Eclipse 550.

The event, which took place from 27 to 29 January 2015, has made stops in Rome, Foggia and Milan, where more than 100 people had the opportunity to see live the most efficient and economical twin-engine jet in the world by testing directly the comfort and flexibility of interior (reconfigurable in a few minutes in different versions) and, in some cases, performance and ease of conduct in flight.

The interest and appreciation for the Eclipse were high and unanimous. In particular those present were impressed by the limited consumption (180-220 liters / hour) and the ability to operate on runways of 850 meters that expands exponentially the field of action of the aircraft over competitors that, for the same payload, have higher weights.

The N834TE brought to Italy by Aeris Aviation is a Total Eclipse, an Eclipse 500 that is modified and updated by the manufacturer to the standard and equipment of the new Eclipse 550.

Speaking with potential customers, it was also possible to speculate about utiliizations of the Eclipse beyond private flights or air taxi, such as, for example, the possibility of installation of an EMS kit with a stretcher and the use for the preliminary flight training of jetliner pilots.

Alidaunia, which hosted the event in Foggia and is notoriously active in the air rescue, is studying the details for the issuance of an STC for the EMS kit.

The Eclipse Show Tour attracted also the attention of the press that was present on the 3 sites with Askanews, Teleradioerre and the monthly aeronautical magazine JP4.

David Hayman, CEO of Aeris Aviation, leaving Bresso airport to return to England, expressed his satisfaction: "the Eclipse Show Tour has been very positive and confirmed the potential interest of the Italian market for our plane.
